ISRO YUVIKA 2025 registration deadline today; eligibility criteria, selection process

ISRO YUVIKA 2025: Students who are in Class 9 can apply through the official website, jigyasa.iirs.gov.in/registration.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will close the registration window for the 'Young Scientist Programme', YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (YUVIKA) today, March 23. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for ISRO YUVIKA 2025 through the official website, jigyasa.iirs.gov.in.
The ISRO YUVIKA programme aims introduce young students to emerging trends in the field of space science and technology.
As per the schedule, the first selection list will be released on April 7. Selected candidates need to report at the respective ISRO centres by May 19 or the date intimated on the registered email addresses.

ISRO has chalked out this programme to "Catch them young". The programme is also expected to encourage more students to pursue in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research and career.
YUVIKA-2025 selection process
The selection of participants in YUVIKA-2025 will be carried out based on the following parameters
- Marks obtained in Class 8 exam - 50 %
- Performance in the online quiz - 10%
- Participation in science fair (school/district/state & above the level in last 3 years)- 2/5/10%
- Rank in Olympiad or equivalent (1 to 3 rank in School / District / State & above level in last 3 years)- 2/4/5%
- Winners of sports competitions ( 1 to 3 rank in School / District / State & above level in last 3 years) 2/4/5%
- Scout and Guides / NCC / NSS Member in last 3 years - 5%
- Studying in a Village / Rural School located in the Panchayat area - 15%
