Jharkhand health minister Banna Gupta had said the fees for 50 per cent seats in private medical colleges in the state will be fixed in line with government medical colleges. The move would help address the shortage of doctors in medical colleges and also benefit medical students who returned from war-torn Ukraine, besides others.

University Grants Commission has asked universities to offer certificate courses based on Indian heritage and culture. The courses will be short term multi-tier credit based modular programmes with multiple entry and exit based on Indian heritage and culture to promote the interest of people from abroad to visit India.

1. Grace marks of up to five percent in a subject if the student is failing in that subject only by not more than five percent of the total marks

2. Grace marks of up to three percent in two subjects each if the student is failing in those subjects only by not more than three percent of the total marks in each subject

3. If a student has not availed any grace marks given in point 1 and 2 and falls short of five or less marks in securing a higher division. Then, the student is awarded the required grace marks to enable him to secure the higher division
