NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 5: With an aim to inculcate a culture of learning amongst the young minds, a successful Kolkata edition of NTPC’s Electron Quiz 2018 was held recently in which Jadavpur University bagged the first position followed by NIT Rourkela.
It was a close contest where winner was decided through a tiebreaker and Heritage Institute of Technology secured the third position. The competition saw IGIT Sarrang, IIT Kharagpur and second team from NIT Rourkela reaching upto the finals.
With the best teams representing their respective institutes, it was a tough competition for everybody. On the occasion, Adhikram Bandyopadhyay, GM, Kolkata- NTPC was the Chief Guest and presented awards to the winners. First prize was awarded to Ayush Padia and Srijeet Basu from Jadavpur University, followed by Swayambodha Mohapatra and Abhishek Patra from NIT Rourkela as second position. Third position was bagged by Sumit Chakraborty and Shuvam Manna from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.
The Electron Quiz 2018, Kolkata saw participation from a total 30 teams from the most prestigious management and technical institutions of Kolkata and outstation teams from Meghalaya, Shillong, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar and Sarrang which was very encouraging.
NTPC Electron Quiz 2018 attracts participation from leading B Schools and premier engineering colleges for its regional rounds held in Delhi, Patna, Kolkata, Mumbai, Lucknow and Hyderabad.
