Jaipuria School of Business hosts ICEF 2025; international conference on digital innovation, sustainability

NEW DELHI: The Jaipuria School of Business, Ghaziabad, organised the International Conference on Emerging Frontiers (ICEF) 2025 on February 7 and 8. The ICEF 2025 focused on the theme ‘Digital innovation and sustainable business practices', as per Jaipuria School of Business.

The event also facilitated discussions on academic collaborations, including partnership proposals with James Cook University, Singapore, and DAV College, Nepal, to enhance knowledge exchange and institutional cooperation.

As per the Jaipuria School of Business, ICEF 2025 brought together scholars, researchers, and industry experts. The inaugural session featured speakers such as Manjeev Singh Puri, former ambassador to Nepal; Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, NASSCOM; Joseph M Cheer, Western Sydney University; Vinod Malhotra, former civil servant and adviser to Jaipuria Group; Weng Marc Lim, Dean, Sunway Business School, Malaysia; Emeritus Sushil, IIT Delhi; and Ravinder Rena, University of the Western Cape, South Africa.

Discussions on business transformation and sustainability

Manjeev Singh Puri emphasised the importance of adapting business strategies in a changing environment. Ravinder Rena highlighted the role of sustainability in digitalisation, stressing the need for equitable distribution of benefits. Rena said, “As we navigate this complex landscape, it is crucial that we prioritize sustainable practices, ensuring that the benefits of digitalization are shared equitably and that its negative consequences are mitigated.”

Joseph Cheer spoke about responsible tourism, advocating for practices that benefit both travelers and local communities. Cheer said, “By prioritizing responsible tourism practices, respecting local cultures and environments, and being mindful of our footprint, we can ensure tourism benefits both travelers and host communities alike.”

Business innovation

Weng Marc Lim discussed the role of scientific inquiry in business innovation, encouraging continuous learning. Sushil mentioned innovation as a driving force for change. Other international speakers, including Kim Lim from James Cook University, Singapore, and Cordelia Mason from Universiti Kuala Lumpur Business School, Malaysia, also contributed insights.

Research and knowledge exchange

As per Jaipuria School of Business, the conference included speeches and research paper presentations on business, technology, and management. Research contributions were recognised through the 'Best Paper Awards'.
