JAM 2026: IIT Bombay gives 3-day extension for editing application forms

Download NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the last date to make changes in the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026 application forms till November 13. Registered candidates can edit their details by logging into their profile on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal on the official website – jam2026.iitb.ac.in.

Applicants can modify certain details including their name, category, date of birth, exam city, and paper. During the application correction process, they can also add more papers. Those who have entered incorrect gender, category, exam city, or DoB can rectify the details by paying an additional fee of Rs 300 per change. For additional test papers or change in selected paper also, they will have to deposit Rs 300.
Earlier, the deadline for IIT JAM 2026 application correction was November 10. Aspirants must note that there is a requisite application correction fee for each category.
JAM 2026 papers
JAM 2026 will be conducted for seven test papers – biotechnology (BT, chemistry (CY), economics (EN), geology(GG), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS), and physics (PH). A candidate is allowed to appear in a maximum of two test papers, given that they are not scheduled in the same session.
IITB will hold JAM 2026 on February 15 in two sessions – forenoon session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm – in 114 exam cities.
JAM 2026 scores will be used to fill 3,000 seats in postgraduate programmes in various disciplines at 22 IITs for the academic year 2026-27.
