Jamia Millia Islamia launches 5 short-term courses; registration from October 19

Jamia Millia Islamia is offering 3-month skill-based offline, online courses. Registrations open from October 19, 2022.
NEW DELHI: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University and the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) are offering five online and offline short-term courses for professionals, job-seekers and students. Registrations for the short courses are open from October 19.
The CIE and JMI will offer courses in basics of digital marketing, tailoring and embroidery training, beautician training, computer hardware and networking and bakery training. Professionals, job seekers, school dropouts and university students are eligible to apply.
The programme in basics of digital marketing will be conducted online and will last a total of 50 hours. The students will be required to pay a fee of Rs 5,000. There will be 1 hour classes from Monday to Thursday while Saturday and Sunday classes will be 2 hours long.
The three-month tailoring and embroidery training, beautician training, computer and networking, and bakery training courses will be held offline from Monday to Friday. The fee for the morning classes – from 10 am to 2 pm – is Rs 5,000; for evening classes, from 5 pm to 8 pm – it is Rs 3,000.

Students enrolled in these courses will be provided placement support with “Job Hai”, a Naukri group venture.
In other news, JMI also opened registrations for three part-time self-financed courses on October 10. Registrations for the certificate in translation proficiency in English, certificate in digital humanities and diploma in translation proficiency in English will remain open till October 25, 2022.
