J-K NMMS registration begins on NSP portal 2.0 for 2019 to 2022 students

Candidates who qualified the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship exam can send applications on National Scholarship Portal by November 30.
NEW DELHI : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has invited online applications for grant of National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) to qualified candidates from 2019 to 2022 for the academic session 2023-24. Eligible candidates can apply for J-K NMMS on the National Scholarship Portal, scholarships.gov.in. The last date to apply is November 30.
JKBOSE declared J-K NMMS result 2022 on September 23 for the exam held on December 14 on its official website, jkbose.nic.in.
Class 9 students of government schools who have qualified the NMMS exam and whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs 3,50,000 per annum are eligible for the scholarship. Students of Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas are not eligible. Under the scholarship, selected students will get Rs 12,000 per annum.

“Besides, it is also notified for information of all the concerned candidates of NMMS exam year 2021, 2020 and 2019 who are studying in Class 10, 11, and 12 respectively during the session 2023-24 and are receipt of National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme can also submit online applications for the respective renewal installments on national scholarship portal by or before 30th of November 2023,” said an official notice.
The applications submitted by candidates will be verified by the concerned government school by December 15 while level-2 verification will be conducted by Chief Education Officer at district level by December 30.
