35 NVS students clear UPSC CSE 2024; Komal Punia secures rank 6, five in top 100

Download EBookNEW DELHI: A total of 35 students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) have cleared the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination (UPSC CSE) 2024 exam. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has posted the list of selected candidates from UPSC CSE 2024, mentioning their names, All India Ranks (AIR), school names and states.

Komal Punia, a former student of JNV Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, secured All India Rank 6. Abhishek Sharma from JNV Morena in Madhya Pradesh followed with All India Rank 38, while Sai Chaitanya from JNV Adilabad in Telangana achieved All India Rank 68.
Five students from NVS have secured positions in the top 100. Among others in the top 100 were Reenu Anna Mathew of JNV Kollam in Kerala, who secured All India Rank 81, and Utkarsh Pathak of JNV Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, who obtained All India Rank 88.
The commission announced the UPSC CSE 2024 result on April 22. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their UPSC CSE result 2024 through the official website at upsc.gov.in. The commission further informed that the marks of the candidates will be available on the website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the result.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) under the Ministry of Education, cater primarily to students from rural backgrounds. These are residential schools set up to offer education to children from families with fewer financial means. The list features students from JNVs located in states such as Bihar, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat and more.
