JECA 2024 registration begins at wbjeeb.nic.in/jeca; apply till April 30

NEW DELHI: West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has started JECA 2024 registration on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in/jeca. Students seeking admission in Master of Computer Application (MCA) courses in the state’s institutions can apply for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam for Computer Application (WB JECA 2024) till April 30.

Applicants belonging to the unreserved category will have to submit an application fee of Rs 500 while those from OBC, SC, ST, EWS and the third gender categories will have to pay Rs 400. Payments can only be made through net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI and QR code. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or those in the final semester of the programme can apply for the examination.

Candidates will have to enter a valid mobile number and email id during the registration process. The board said students will receive all communications regarding JECA 2024 on their registered mobile number and email ID.

JECA 2024 exam pattern

The JECA 2024 question paper will have two types of questions – category 1 and category 2. The question paper will have 80 category 1 questions of one mark each and 20 category 2 questions of 2 marks each. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board said that 0.25 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer in category 1. However, there will be no negative marking in category 2.

Candidates can can follow these steps to fill the JECA 2024 application form:

• Visit the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in/jeca
• On the homepage, click on ‘online application form’ link
• In the next tab, click on ‘new registration’ and then complete the application form
• Log in using the application number and password
• Fill the JECA 2024 application form and submit the fee
• Download the application form for future reference.
