NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has issued the syllabus for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024. Candidates appearing for the exam should note that there are no changes in the JEE Advanced syllabus 2024 from last year.

JEE Advanced 2024 comprises two papers, each containing questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Both papers are mandatory and are conducted for three hours duration. These papers evaluate candidates' comprehension, reasoning, and analytical ability.

JEE Advanced 2024: Chemistry syllabus
According to the JEE Advanced syllabus 2024 of Chemistry, the weightage of Class 11 chapters is around 30% to 40% and the rest is of Class 12 chapters. Questions will be asked from organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. The questions can be from General topics, Gaseous and liquid states, Atomic structure and chemical bonding, Energetics, Chemical equilibrium, Transition Elements, Surface Chemistry, Extractive Metallurgy, Electrochemistry, Nuclear Chemistry, Chemical kinetics, Solid-state, Preparation, Properties, and Reactions of Alkane, Alkenes, Alkynes among others.
JEE Advanced 2024: Physics syllabus
According to the JEE Advanced physics syllabus, questions will be asked from Units and dimensions, Kinematics, General Physics, Mechanics, Electricity and magnetism, Optics, Thermal Physics, Modern physics, etc. The paper will have both theory and numerical questions.

JEE Advanced 2024: Maths syllabus
According to the JEE Advanced maths syllabus, the weightage of topics of Class 11 mathematics is 40% to 50% and that’s why these topics cannot be ignored. Algebra, Trigonometry, Matrices, Analytical geometry, Differential calculus, Integral calculus, Vectors, Probability, etc is part of JEE Advanced Maths syllabus 2024.
IIT Madras will conduct paper 1 and paper 2 of JEE Advanced exam 2024 in computer-based test (CBT) mode in two shifts on May 26, 2024.
