The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will conduct the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2025 exam today, May 18, for over 2 lakh JEE Mains qualified candidates. The JEE Advanced 2025 paper 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, and paper 2 from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Students are advised to carry their JEE Advanced 2025 admit card along with their ID proof to exam centre for verification purposes.

Students appearing for paper 1 are required to report to their respective allotted exam centre between 7:30 am to 8 am, and for paper 2, reporting timings are between 1:30 pm to 2 pm. Students should reach the exam centre atleast 2 hours before to avoid any delay or last-minute hassle.

Students who have valid ID proof along with the JEE Advanced 2025 admit card will be allowed to enter the exam hall. The student's identity will be verified at the exam centre by invigilators as well as IIT representatives.

Students will be subject to compulsory frisking before entering the exam centre. Only pens, pencils, a drinking water bottle (transparent), an admit card, and ID proof will be allowed inside the exam hall.

JEE Advanced 2025: Things NOT to carry, guidelines

Students appearing for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam can read the guidelines before entering the exam hall.

  • Any electronic devices such as watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, calculators, pen drives, etc should not to carried to the examination hall.
  • Students should not wear clothes with big buttons, or any kind of jewellery such as earrings, bracelets, nose pin, necklace, pendant.
  • Students should wear only open chappals and sandals to the exam centre.
  • It is compulsory to appear for both paper 1 and 2 as final marks will be evaluated based on both papers.
  • Entry to exam hall for paper 1 will be closed at 9 am and for paper 2 at 2:30 pm.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the examination hall even if they have completed their exam before the end time.
