The internet is full of such queries due to many exams being postponed. The nation is witnessing a series of exam carry-over from the last couple of weeks due to coronavirus pandemic. Many state entrance exams for admission to engineering and other courses, as well as board exams of class 10 and 12 have been postponed and rescheduled. Schools, colleges and universities have been shut all across the nation amid the nation-wide lockdown. National Testing Agency (NTA), the apex body responsible for conducting many national entrance exams, has postponed the April exam of JEE Main till May last week. JEE Advanced 2020 is scheduled to be conducted on May 17, for which the application will be available from May 1 to 6. Although there is enough time for the exam, the fear is that it is conducted only after JEE Main April, which is postponed to May last week. JEE Main 2020 April exam was scheduled on April 5, 7, 8, 9 and 11 and the result was expected by April 30. After the result, the applications for Advanced are scheduled from May 1. As the whole JEE Main schedule has been compromised, JEE Advanced postponement is visibly real.

JEE Advanced is conducted for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology, the premier technical institutes of the nation and institutes of national importance. Students have to qualify the JEE Main exam in order to appear in JEE Advanced. As the JEE Main 2020 April exam has been postponed, the possibility of JEE Advanced postponed is increasing.
