JEE Advanced score calculator 2026: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the provisional answer key for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 paper 1 and 2 on the official website of JEE Advanced at jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates can now start raising challenges against the tentative answer key by visiting the candidate portal at cportal.jeeadv.ac.in. The last date to submit the challenge is May 26, 2026, 5 pm. To raise the objection, applicants must pay Rs 500 for each question.

JEE Advanced 2026: Marking scheme

The marking scheme varies depending on the type of question. Single-correct MCQs typically carry +3 marks for the correct answer and a negative mark for incorrect responses, while multiple-correct questions offer +4 marks for fully correct answers along with partial marking in some cases and negative marking for wrong choices. Numerical answer type questions usually award full marks for the correct response without any negative marking.

Tie-breaking rule

In case of a tie in total marks, the ranking is decided through a tie-breaking process where candidates with higher positive marks are given preference. If the tie still persists, higher marks in Mathematics are considered first, followed by Physics. If all criteria remain equal, the candidates are assigned the same rank.
