NEW DELHI, SEPTEMBER 28:  The national level engineering entrance exam at the undergraduate level, JEE Main 2019 will be organised by National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 in Computer Based Mode (CBT). The exam will be held in 8 sittings.

With NTA coming into the picture to conduct JEE Main 2019, the pattern of the exam was changed of it being conducted completely in CBT mode in two attempts. The first one in January and the second and final one in April 2019.

According to the latest notification released by NTA for JEE Main 2019, the exam will be held only on Saturdays and Sundays of January month as the first attempt between dates 6 to 20, therefore, the probable dates for the exam can be the following.

NTA Notification for JEE Main 2019


JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in two Papers; Paper 1 will be for B.E./ B.Tech programmes and Paper 2 will be for B.Arch./ B.Planning.

The exam is supposed to be held in two shifts for Paper 1; the first shift will be from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and second will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. However, there will be only one shift for Paper 2.

Since Paper 1 of JEE Main 2019 will be held in two shifts, it could be conducted in any of the four days mentioned in the table above. However, JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 which will be conducted in only one shift on a single day could be held in any of the given dates.

The dates and timings for JEE Main 2019 for both papers will be officially released on October 5 by NTA.
