JEE Main 2020 Live Updates (Day 5) - Exam Analysis (Available), Answer Keys

As per various JEE Main student reactions, the paper for slot 2 was of moderate difficulty.

• Most of the students found Physics to be the hardest section.
• Mathematics had tough but tricky questions
• Chemistry was the easiest and had equal weightage of inorganic and organic units

The fifth day of JEE Main 2020 has concluded today at 6 PM. Candidates have started to come out of the exam centres in an orderly manner while maintaining social distancing. JEE Main paper analysis and answer key will soon be released by various coaching institutes.

Day 5 of JEE Main 2020 will soon be coming to an end. The paper which is being conducted for B.E./B.Tech admissions into NITs, CFTIs and IIITs is being held as a computer based examination. Around 85,000 candidates have been allotted the shifts for today by NTA authorities.

Overall, JEE Main 2020 paper 1 for September 5 Slot 1 was a moderate to easy paper.

• Physics was more lengthy as compared to Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Chemistry was easier as compared to the previous session and all of the topics were covered.
• Mathematics was of moderate level and most of the questions were asked from Calculus, Algebra and Coordinate Geometry.

NTA will be releasing the provisional JEE Main answer key tentatively after September 7 for both Paper 1 and Paper. The answer key will consist of the correct responses to the examination. This year, due to the ongoing pandemic, the answer key is expected to be released sooner. Since the JEE Main 2020 result date is tentatively September 11, the answer key can be expected soon.

The authorities have released JEE Main 2020 attendance statistics for Day 1 to 3.

JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) for the second shift of September 5 has commenced at 3 PM. All of the candidates who appeared for the exam have entered the centre in an orderly manner due to social distancing norms. The examination will conclude at 6 PM as per the JEE Main exam timings 2020.

As per the released JEE Main 2020 important dates, the examination will be concluded tomorrow i.e., September 6. Since the exam is concluding tomorrow, JEE Main 2020 result is expected to be announced by September 11.

IIT Delhi has also released tentative JEE Advanced 2020 important dates since JEE Main is being conducted. Registrations for JEE Advanced 2020 is set to start from September 12 and the admit card will available from September 17. JEE Advanced will be held on September 27, 2020.

JEE Main 2nd shift timings have been released by the NTA authorities. The exam will commence from 3 PM and will be held till 6 PM. JEE Main first shift timing was 9 AM tot 12 Noon.

Slot 2 of JEE Main 2020 September 5 will commence at 3 PM. Students have started reporting to the exam centres. Many are seen following the NTA guidelines and wearing masks. However on entry, fresh masks are being provided by the authorities. Social distancing has to be maintained and the students are being checked if they are following the JEE Main dress code or not.

There is a high possibility of the JEE Main 2020 qualifying cutoff being lowered for this session since less students have been reported to have attempted the examination. According to the attendance statistics of JEE Main 2020 , the number of candidates attempting the examination is rising, however, the percentage is still less as compared to the previous session.

Candidate can check the overall difficulty of JEE Main 2020 Paper 1 which was held today from 9 AM to 12 Noon.

According to the JEE Main student reaction for September 5 slot 1 , the exam was comparatively easier than last year.

1. Most of the questions in Physics were numerical. Most of the questions were from 12th syllabus and most of the numerical questions were from 11th standard syllabus.
2. Chemistry section had many questions from chemical bonding and coordination compound. Some questions were tricky.
3. Mathematics was a tough section. Most of the questions were lengthy and were from vectors, 3D, matrices, complex numbers, integration, differential equations, calculus, coordinate geometry.

Slot 1 of day 5 September 2020 has concluded at 12 noon. The authorities are slowly sending out students in an orderly manner from the exam centre. JEE Main paper analysis for shift 1 exam based on students' reactions will soon be released by some coaching institutes. Along with the analysis, JEE Main answer key which will be memory based will also be made available soon.

Yesterday, The Supreme Court of India dismissed the review plea for JEE Main and NEET postponement . The plea was put in by the six chief ministers of the opposition-governned states - West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. The same plea was also dismissed earlier by SC.

While most of the reports have claimed the conduction of JEE Main 2020 in a positive light, there are still a few stories where students are complaining.

It has been reported that the JEE Main exam centres are following all of the COVID SOPs in order to keep the students' health in priority. Thermal screening is being done and new 3 ply masks are being given to the students on entry. Gap between the seats are being maintained and a strict 'not touch policy' is being followed by the authorities.

The official reports claims that JEE Main 2020 attendance in West Bengal is not very different from last year. As per the reports, the attendance for Paper 2 on September 1 was 33% higher than the 25% which the government had claimed. West Bengal also sees less JEE Main aspirants due to the fact that most students appear for WBJEE also.

The first slot of JEE Main 2020 Day 5 which is being held for B.E./B.Tech has commenced. Masks and sanitzers were distributed at the centres and students were asked to enter the examination centre in an orderly manner. Parents were also asked to leave the premises after they had dropped their children off for JEE Main 2020.

Students have started reporting at the various centres of JEE Main 2020 for Day 5. Since the exam is going to commence at 9 AM, the reporting has begun since 7:30 AM. At the centres, students have been reported to be checking previous day's JEE Main 2020 solutions and also question papers. COVID-19 guidelines are being followed by students and authorities to ensure a safe environment.

Before the availability of the official answer key, institutes such as resonance have released the JEE Main 4 September answer key.  Using the JEE Main 2020 solutions by these institutes, candidates will be able to know their probable secured scores and plan ahead for the counselling sessions.

The previous day's analysis may help in sorting some of the exam fear and ease the tensions. The JEE Main exam analysis for the previous day were as follows

JEE Main day 5 is today and the exam is being held in two shifts ( 9 am to 12 noon and then 3 pm to 6 pm). NTA has increased the number of exam centres to 660 and also reduced the number of students appearing from each centre to around 85,000 per shift.

It has been seen that on an average 80 to 82 percent students are appearing for the entrance exam which concluded tomorrow September 6, 2020 at 6 pm. Some NTA JEE Main exam day guidelines are

1. Carry your JEE Main 2020 admit card with the undertaking for COVID duly filled, A photo must be affixed, thumb impression placed along with parent's signature

2. In addition, follow the JEE Main dress code 2020.

3. Carry a transparent ball pen, a transparent bottle of water and a hand sanitizer small one -50 ml

4. Take a PwD certificate if you have applied as one.

5. Ensure, you follow all safety instructions and avoid crowding at any place near the exam hall.

6. After the exam is over, then drop the JEE Main admit card along with COVID self declaration, rough sheets in the drop box at the exam hall otherwise your answer sheet wont be evaluated.
