Try NowNEW DELHI : The JEE Main 2021 April and May sessions that were deferred due to increase in the coronavirus cases is expected to be held in July and August. As CBSE has suggested to conduct Class 12th board exams in 19 major subjects from August 1 to 20 as one of the options, the NTA is likely to conduct the JEE Main 2021 last two sessions in the end of July and August, according to The Times of India report.

As per the reports, CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021 date and format will be announced on June 1. So, it is expected that a decision regarding JEE Main 2021 new date will be announced along with the CBSE Class 12 board exam dates.
On Sunday, CBSE presented two options - first to conduct the board exams from August 1 in 19 subjects with marking in minor subjects done on the basis of performance in the exam held and second, to conduct the exams in two phases, July 15 to August 1 and August 5 to 26 while giving options to states to select their preferred phase.
In case CBSE goes for the second option to hold board exams, that is, to conduct exams in two phases then the JEE Main 2021 May exam is expected to be shifted to the first or second week of September, the report added.
Students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination Mains must note that the rescheduling of the JEE Main 2021 April and May exams will be done subsequently. Also, the final JEE Main 2021 date will be announced on jeemain.nta.nic.in at least 15 days prior to the exam.
The official notice released by the NTA read, “The revised dates for the May Session will be intimated later on and will be announced at least 15 days before the exam. The registration for the May Session will also be announced at a later stage. The rescheduling of the April and May sessions will be done subsequently”.
Earlier, the JEE Main April and May sessions were scheduled to be conducted on April 27, 28, and 30 and May 24 to 28 respectively.
Joint Entrance Examination, Main is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate courses. The authorities decided to conduct JEE Main 2021 in four sessions this year, in February, March, April and May. The JEE Main 2021 for February and March sessions have been concluded successfully. JEE Main 2021 exam dates for February and March sessions were February 23 to 26 and March 16 to 18 respectively.
