NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the advisory for JEE candidates regarding COVID-19 along with the release of JEE Main admit card 2021. The NTA will implement the social distancing measures during the JEE Main 2021 exam as per the Government of India guidelines due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. JEE Main 2021 February exam dates are February 23 to 26.

As per the advisory issued by the NTA, adequate measures will be taken for the safety of the students without compromising the high standards, sanctity, and fairness in the conduct of JEE Main 2021. Candidates are required to adhere to all the JEE Main 2021 exam day guidelines to ensure the safety of their own and other applicants.

JEE Main 2021 - Preparation at the centre

  • Standard Operating Procedures for safety and maintaining the required standard for hygiene will be implemented before the start of the exam. Seating area including monitor keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk and chair will be sanitized. Moreover, all door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons will be disinfected.

  • As per GOI guidelines, a gap between two seats will be maintained.

  • Hand sanitizer will be made available at the JEE Main 2021 exam centre. Also, Thermo guns will be used to check body temperature.

JEE Main 2021 Exam: Pre-exam preparation

  • Students should report at the exam centre of JEE Main 2021 as per the reporting time mentioned at the hall ticket only to avoid any crowding at the centre.

  • Students are advised to carry only the things permitted inside the exam centre as the storage of bags will be strictly at the owner's risk.

  • Candidates will have to maintain 6 feet from each other. Floor marks will be arranged outside the centre.

  • Lab numbers will not be displayed outside the exam centre to avoid crowding. Centre staff will guide the students to the lab after contact-free frisking and document verification.

  • If the body temperature of a candidate is higher than COVID-19 norms, he or she will be required to take an exam in a separate room.

JEE Main 2021 - During exam preparation

  • Candidates will be provided with a fresh three-ply mask before entry. Students will have to remove the mask worn by them from home and wear the one provided by the authorities.

  • For any rough work, A4 size sheets will be kept at each candidate’s desk.

  • Candidates will be required to sign the attendance sheet only after sanitizing their hands.

JEE Main exam - After examination

  • After the completion of the JEE Main 2021 exam, candidates will be permitted to leave the centre one by one.

  • Candidates will have to drop their JEE Main admit card 2021 and rough sheet in the box after displaying it to the invigilator.
