The JEE Main 2022 candidates are advised to keep preparing for the exam with full dedication and consistency. The JEE Main 2022 registration process is expected to begin anytime soon. Previous year, the JEE Main application form was released in December and the exam was held in four sessions starting from February.

• Leaving JEE Main 2022 syllabus - Before the commencement of preparation for JEE Main 2022, aspirants are always advised to check the syllabus. The JEE Main syllabus allows students to know the topics from which the questions are asked in the exam. Therefore, skipping any topic mentioned in the JEE Main syllabus is said to be a strict no.

• Not focusing on NCERT - According to experts and previous year’s JEE Main toppers, NCERT should be the priority book for every aspirant preparing to get admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Since the entrance examination is based on the 11th and 12th standard syllabus of CBSE, NCERT books are seen as the perfect and must cover books for preparation.

• Skipping mock tests - The JEE Main 2022 aspirants must be focusing on completing syllabus and strengthening concepts, however, many candidates tend to give less importance to mock tests. It should be noted that solving JEE Main mock tests at regular intervals is a vital part of preparation. It helps in keeping a constant check on the preparation level and recognise mistakes.

• Ignoring personal notes - One should understand that having self made short notes during preparation helps in the long run. Personal notes will assist in last minute revision and also to remember things for longer periods. Short notes should be made in such a way that crucial points and formulas are written down whole while some shortcuts may also be used so that when read again.
