• There is no age limit for the candidates to appear in the JEE Main 2023 exam. 
• However, the candidates may be required to fulfil the age criteria of the institutes to which they are desirous of taking admission.

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1). 
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0). 
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. 
• If all options are found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

The overall difficulty of JEE Main Session 2 April 13 was easy to moderate. The order of difficulty in different subjects- as assessed by experts is Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry.

Engineering aspirants who appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 can use the Careers360 college predictor JEE Mains 2023 to predict the chances of getting admission to top colleges offering BTech programmes through their JEE Main 2023 ranks.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the IIT JEE pass marks 2023.

JEE Main 2023 Section A will comprise of 60 MCQs and Section B will comprise of 30 questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. Engineering aspirants have to attempt 5 questions out of 10 and there will be negative markings for both section A and section B.

• Candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer.
• One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• No mark will be awarded in case a question is left unanswered or marked for review.
• Four marks will be awarded to those who answer a question that is incorrect or dropped. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.
• The candidates are advised to use the constants provided (if any) in the questions to do the calculations. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

• Physics was rated as easy to moderate on the difficulty level. It consisted mostly of easy & moderate questions. Most of the questions were NCERT based and were evenly distributed among all major units.
• Chemistry was rated as easiest out of the all. Inorganic & Organic Chemistry  had more weightage compared to Physical Chemistry.
• Mathematics was rated as moderate to difficult on the difficulty level. Questions were asked from all chapters. Emphasis was on Algebra & Calculus.

If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

Question: What if more than one option is found to be correct among the options provided in the JEE Mains 2023 questions?

Answers: In case, more than one option is found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.

• For the correct answer or the most appropriate answer, candidates will be awarded four marks (+4).
• For an incorrect answer, there is a penalty of minus one mark (-1).
• In case a question is left unanswered or marked for review, no mark (0) will be given.

The JEE Main 2023 exam tomorrow will be held for BE and BTech papers.

As per the JEE Main 2023 exam date session 2, the NTA will be conducting the last day of JEE Main session 2 exam tomorrow, April 15. April 15 was one of the reserved dates for JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam.

Candidates who took the first shift of JEE Mains exam 2023 held on April 13 found the Physics section easiest. 

Students rated physics section as easy. As per the JEE Main 2023 question paper analysis, physics section has been easy in difficulty level compared to the other two sections.

• Questions were asked from error analysis, kinematics, laws of motion, work, power and energy, heat and thermodynamics. Two questions each from SHM, current electricity, magnetism, gravitation, modern physics, semiconductors and wave optics.
• Numerical-based questions were reported as easy to moderate. This section was balanced, as per students' reaction.

Engineering aspirants who appeared in shift 2 on April 13 found the mathematics section to be moderate in difficulty level. 

• Weightage was given to chapters of Algebra and Calculus.
• From calculus chapter, questions were asked from limits and continuity, application of derivative, definite integrals, area under curves, and differential equations.
• Algebra, matrices, permutation and combination, vectors, 3D geometry had more than one question.  The section also had questions from progressions, statistics, binomial theorem, mathematical reasoning and probability.
• Mixed concept questions were asked from coordinate geometry- parabola, ellipse and hyperbola. Both MCQs and numerical-based questions required lengthy calculations. This section was also tricky according to a few students.

The JEE Mains result 2023 is expected to be declared in May 2023. 

Candidates will not be allowed to carry any study material inside JEE Mains 2023 exam hall, such as books, notebooks, blank paper sheets etc. Only stationery items are allowed inside the exam hall. 

Once the NTA is done conducting the JEE Mains 2023 exam, it will release the exam results. The results are expected in May 2023. 

The NTA will conduct the JEE Mains session 2 exam 2023 in two shifts. Shift 1 will be held from 9 am till 12 pm, while Shift 2 will be conducted from 3 pm till 6 pm. 

The JEE Mains 2023 session 2 exam will conclude on April 15, 2023. The provisional and final answer keys for the exam will be released, once the exams conclude. 

The admit card for the JEE Mains 2023 exam to be held on April 15 has been issued at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be required to carry the hard copy of the hall ticket to the examination centre mandatorily. 

The NTA will deduct one mark from the candidates' total score in JEE Main 2023 exam for incorrect responses.

The NTA will conduct the seventh and last day of JEE Mains exam 2023 for session 2 day after tomorrow on April 15, 2023.

JEE Main 2023 April 13 shift 2 has ended at 6pm. 

Around 8.6 lakh candidates appeared for the JEE Mains 2023 session 1. The number of registered candidates for session 2 will be informed soon. 

JEE Mains 2023 session 2 result will be declared once the last exam gets over on April 15.

The shift 2 of JEE Mains April 13 exam begins. The JEE Main 2023 shift 2 exam will get over at 6 pm.

According to a sizeable number of students, the Physics part was of easy level. Questions from Mechanics, Current electricity, Semiconductors and Modern Physics were duly represented in the paper. Three to four questions from Mechanics and two from Modern Physics were there in the paper. Other chapters were also included in due proportions. There were a good number of numerical which were largely formula based. According to students Class 12 Physics had more weightage in the paper. PYQ were also there in the paper. Solving a good number of mock tests would prove to be an effective strategy.

The paper was by and large based on NCERT books. 

Numerical were very few from Physical Chemistry and but most of the questions were theoretical. 

Overall, the questions from Organic were somewhat on the higher side as compared to Physical and Inorganic Chemistry. 

Questions from prominent chapters like Chemical Kinetics, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Alcohol, Phenol and Ethers, s-block and Aldehyde, Ketone and Carboxylic Acids were asked. 

Overall coverage of the chapters was uniform. 

A thorough study of the NCERT books and mock tests based on NCERT is the guarantee of success in these types of tests.

According to students, organic chemistry was difficult among the three parts of chemistry.

The mathematics paper was moderately difficult and slightly time taking due to the lengthy calculations involved. A few good questions were interspersed sporadically. Questions were asked from Calculus, Complex Numbers, Probability, Vectors & 3D and Matrices and Determinants were there. Vector and 3D were dominant in the paper. Almost all the topics were covered. Again, practice through mock tests holds the key.

The JEE Main 2023 answer key for all the shifts of the exam will be released on the jeemain.nta.nic.in after the end of the exam on April 15.

The JEE Main session 1 result is already announced. For candidates who appeared in both the sessions, the best of the two scores will be considered for merit.

The JEE Main 2023 result Session 2 exam will likely be declared in the month of May 2023. The exact date will be notified on the official website. It is expected in May because, after the declaration of JEE Main result, application for JEE Advanced 2023 will start. JEE Advanced date 2023 exam will be held on June 4.

• Paper 1 (BE /BTech) will be held in computer based test (CBT) mode only.
• Paper 2A (BArch): Mathematics (Part 1) and Aptitude Test (Part 2) in computer based test (CBT) mode only and drawing test (Part 3) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
