Candidates who are going to apply for JEE Main 2023 exam are advised to keep the following documents ready. Having all the documents handy will help them to fill the JEE Main application form 2023 hassle free: 

• Scanned images of candidate’s photograph
• Scanned images of candidate’s signature, 
• Category certificate (if applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if  applicable)

The NTA has announced the JEE Main 2023 registration dates. Candidates who wish to appear for the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam can register online till January 12. The direct link to apply for the JEE Main exam 2023 is available on this page. 

As per the official notice released by the NTA, the number of unique candidates appeared in both sessions (June/July) of JEE Main 2022 examination were 9,05,590.

The JEE Main registration 2023 is open at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Before filling out the application form of JEE Main 2023, aspirants are advised to check the important instructions released by the NTA: 

• Candidates can apply for JEE (Main) - 2023 through the “Online” mode only through the website - jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Mains 2023 application form in any other mode will not be accepted.
• Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate. In no circumstances, candidates will be allowed to fill more than one Application Form. Strict action will be taken, even at a later stage, against such candidates who have filled more than one application form. 
• Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the online application form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered mobile number only.

As per the JEE Main 2023 exam pattern, for Paper 1 and Part-I of Paper 2, each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and Section B will contain questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10.

The JEE Main 2023 exam date first attempt is January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. The JEE Main 2023 will be conducted as a computer based test in two shifts. The shift 1 of IIT JEE paper will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while the shift 2 will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. 

The JEE Main 2023 registration form is available in online mode at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who wish to apply for the JEE Main exam 2023 can register online till January 12. However, aspirants should note that the NTA JEE Main application form 2023 is available for session 1 exam only. The JEE Main 2023 registration form for session 2 will be available later.  

This year, the authorities have introduced some major changes in the JEE Main 2023, including increase in the registration fee. General male candidates who wish to apply for the JEE Main 2023 exam will have to pay Rs. 1000, while a female candidates has to pay Rs. 800.

The NTA has released the JEE Main 2023 eligibility criteria along with the official brochure. As per the IIT JEE Mains 2023 information brochure, the eligibility criteria of 75% marks in the Class 12 exam to appear for the NTA JEE Main 2023 exam has been restored. 

JEE Main 2023 will be conducted in the following modes:

• Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.

• Paper 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.

• Paper 2B (B. Planning): Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning Based Questions (Part-III) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only

As per the NTA official brochure 2023, the display of question paper attempted and recorded responses by the candidates will be released on NTA website jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023 prior to the declaration of the result/NTA Score. However, the authorities will displayed the JEE Mains 2023 response sheet tentatively two to three days after the exam only. 

Yes. As per the official notification of JEE Mains 2023, there will be negative marking of one marks. For each correct answer four marks will be awarded and for each incorrect answer one marks will be deducted. However, there will be no mark deducted for unanswered questions.
