JEE Main 2023, NEET, CUET exam dates in a few weeks, says UGC Chairman: Report

NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar said that the exam dates for the national-level entrance exams, NEET, JEE Main 2023, CUET, GATE 2023, will be announced in a few weeks.

“The National Testing Agency (NTA) has formed a committee involving experts from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) who have extensive experience in conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023) and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2023). They are working on a time plan for all the exams, including NEET, JEE and CUET,” UGC chairman told Edexlive.com.

“Hopefully, in another few weeks, we will announce this schedule so that these students will have an idea when these exams are going to be held,” the report quoted Kumar as saying.

On the merger of JEE, NEET, CUET , the UGC chairman assured that the students will be given at least two years' time so that the students who are in Class 10 are prepared for it once the officials take the decision, the report said.

A senior official at the NTA had earlier told Careers360 that the JEE Main 2023 exam date , registration and notification is expected to be announced this week. JEE Main application form 2023 release date will be available on the NTA official website, nta.ac.in. According to various media reports, the JEE Main 2023 exam will be held in two phases - mid-January and April.

On the other hand, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 application process is likely to start from February at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET UG 2023 exam is expected to be held in the third week of April, as per earlier reports.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET UG 2023) registration will begin from March and the exam date is expected to fall on first Sunday of May, the Times of India reported in October.
