NEW DELHI: The registration for national level engineering entrance exam, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2023), will begin from the third week of November 2022. JEE Main 2023 exam will be held in two phases - mid-January and April, according to the Times of India report. Engineering aspirants will be able to submit JEE Main 2023 application at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

“JEE Main 2023 schedule will be a pre-pandemic calendar and will be finalized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) soon,” the report said. The update comes amid the confusion regarding the merger of JEE Main, NEET UG 2022, CUET 2022 into an integrated entrance exam. However, while addressing students in Kota, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan clarified that there is no proposal under consideration to merge JEE, NEET UG, CUET exams.
Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 application process is scheduled to begin from February at cuet.samarth.ac.in. The CUET UG 2023 exam is likely to be held in the third week of April. Though there were reports on CUET likely to be held twice a year, as per the latest report CUET 2023 will be held only once. The NTA will be conducting the Common University Entrance exam for undergraduate admission in central universities and participating institutes.

CUET has become the second largest national level entrance exam by pushing JEE Main to third, as per the 2022 registrations. NEET UG 2022 with nearly 18 lakh registration still remains the largest entrance exam of the country. This year, 90 universities participated in CUET UG 2022, the numbers are expected to increase in the upcoming year as more state and private universities are expected to consider CUET scores for UG admissions.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET UG 2023) registration will start from March. NEET UG 2023 exam date is likely to fall on the first Sunday of May. Medical aspirants will be able to apply at neet.nic.in. The NTA will also release the official brochure having details on important dates, eligibility criteria, registration process, fee on nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic.in soon.
