Download EBookNEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 candidates to edit category in the JEE Main application form. Candidates who desire to change their category can do so on the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to modify the category in the JEE Main 2023 application form is tomorrow, April 22 by 11:50pm. NTA’s decision comes after it received representations from various candidates.

“Meanwhile, representations have been received from the candidates regarding allowing them to edit/modify their Category in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023. In view of the above and in the interest of the students, it has been decided to provide a final opportunity for the candidates for modifying their Category in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) – 2023,” said NTA in an official notification.

NTA informed that candidates can only change their categories and the supporting documents will be checked at the time of counselling or admission.
NTA warned, “Candidates must note that the benefit of reservation will be given to them subject to verification of documents by the concerned Counselling / Admission Authority. If it is discovered at any stage that a candidate has used a false/fake/incorrect document or has furnished false, incorrect, or incomplete information, in order to avail the benefit of reservation, then such a candidate shall be excluded from all further processes. In case such a candidate has already been given admission, the admission shall stand cancelled.”

JEE Main 2023 provisional answer key for session 2 was released on April 19. Candidates will be able to challenge the answer key by today, April 21, till 5 pm. JEE Main 2023 session 2 was conducted from April 8 to April 15. Whereas, JEE Main 2023 session 1 was conducted between January 24 and February 1, the results of which were announced on February 6 (paper 1) and February 28 (paper 2).
