The JEE Main 2024 session 2 paper 1 will consist of a total of 90 questions, with 30 questions each from physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Candidates will be required to attempt 25 questions from each section.

Questions asked from Matrices -2 ques, 3 D Geometry, Vectors-2 ques, Permutation & Combination, Probability-2 ques, Complex Numbers, Statistics, Progressions, Quadratic Equations, Function-3 ques, Limits, Continuity & Differentiability, Application of Derivative, Definite Integrals, Differential Equations, Area, Straight Line, Circle ,  Hyperbola amongst Conic Sections with mixed concept questions. The Numerical Section had lengthy calculations from chapters of Calculus & Algebra. A few questions were reported as Lengthy & Easy.

Physics – Easy . Questions were asked from Kinematics, Centre of Mass, Laws of Motion, Magnetism, Optics, Capacitance, Electromagnetic Induction, AC Circuits, Modern Physics, Work Power & Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics, Atoms & Nuclei. Numerical based questions were Lengthy and Easy. Few fact-based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were also asked.

Chemistry – Easy. Organic Chemistry were given more weightage compared to Physical &Inorganic Chemistry. Questions asked from Periodic Table, Coordination Compounds, p-block elements, Chemical Bonding, d & f Block elements, Stoichiometry, Chemical Kinetics, Thermodynamics, General Organic Chemistry- 4 questions, Alcohol, Ether & Phenol, Biomolecules, Amines, Carboxylic Acids, with mixed concept questions. Some fact-based questions from NCERT were asked.
In terms of order of Difficulty –Mathematics was Easy to Moderate while Physics & Chemistry were Easy . Overall, this paper was Easier than earlier sessions as per students.

• Possessing a prohibited item including any stationery item, communication device, accessories, eatable items, ornaments, or any other material or information relevant or not relevant to the exam. 
• Using someone to write the exam (impersonation) or preparing material for copying
• Breaching exam rules or any direction issued by NTA from time to time
• Helping other candidates to engage in malpractices, giving or receiving assistance of any kind directly or indirectly or attempting to do so
• Contacting or communicating or trying to do so with any person other than the staff
• Threatening any of the officials or candidates
• Using or attempting to use any other undesirable method or means in connection with the exam
• Manipulation and fabrication of online documents such as admit card, rank letter, self-declaration, etc.
• Forceful entry or exit from exam hall
• Use or trying to use any electronic device during the exam
• Affixing or uploading of wrong or morphed photographs and signatures on the documents
• Creating obstacles in the smooth and fair conduct of the examination
• Not attempting the question paper for long time intervals.
• Fidgeting and looking here and there.
• In possession of bits of paper etc.

Candidates who indulge in cheating for unfair means in the JEE Main 2024 exam will end up in having their candidature cancelled, being debarred from appearing for exam for three years, and attracting criminal action against themselves. 

JEE Main 2024 session 2 April 8 shift 1 exam for BE, BTech will begin in 30 minutes from now. 

NTA will be taking the following measures to stop unfair means in the exam:

• Multistage verification
• Biometric attendance
• Frisking of candidates
• Surprise visits by flying squads

• Ensure that the question paper available on the computer screen is as per their opted subject or medium. In case different, inform the invigilator. 
• Write name and roll number at the top of each of the blank paper sheets and drop them in designated box.
• Drop the admit card in the box while leaving the exam hall. 
• Enter the required details in the attendance sheet in legible handwriting, put signature, left hand thumb impression, and paste the photograph at the appropriate place. 
• Read the subject-specific instructions and general instructions given in the paper carefully.

Those JEE Main 2024 session 2 candidates who did not register through the Digi Locker or ABC ID need to report early on the exam day to get their biometrics recorded at the examination centre.

Students appearing for JEE Main 2024 April 8 exam tomorrow are required to report at the examination centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam.
