NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2024) BTech paper 1 exam will be conducted from tomorrow. Candidates will have to carry the JEE Main BTech admit card 2024 to the exam centre along with a valid ID card. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the exam on January 27, 29, 30, 31 and February 1.

The JEE Main hall ticket has been issued for candidates appearing in paper 1 exam. Candidates will be able to view the JEE Mains exam centre and download from jeemain.nta.ac.in using their application number and date of birth.
The exam will be held in two shifts - first shift will begin from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm. The JEE Mains paper 1 will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and numerical value questions, with equal weightage to mathematics, physics, and chemistry.
The NTA has recently announced dress code rules, prohibited items inside the exam hall and guidelines to be followed during the exam. Those found using unfair means will be debarred for 3 years.
JEE Main 2024: BTech exam pattern
JEE Main BTech paper 2024 will have 90 questions carrying 300 marks. Each subject will have two sections - MCQs and numerical questions. Students will have to attempt only five questions out of 10 in section B. They should note that both the sections will carry negative marking.
As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, one mark will be deducted for each wrong response, and no marks will be given for unattempted questions.
JEE Mains 2024: Things to carry
Candidates will be allowed to carry the following things inside the NTA JEE exam centre and hall.
- JEE Main 2024 admit card
- Duly filled self-declaration form downloaded from the NTA official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
- A simple transparent black or blue ballpoint pen.
- Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet.
- Personal transparent water bottle.
- Sugar tablets or fruits like banana, apple, orange in case the candidate is diabetic.
