NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) started the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 January 27 shift 2 exam. The exam timings for JEE Main 2024 shift 2 January session are 3 PM to 6 PM. Earlier today, the authorities concluded the JEE Main 2024 session 1 shift 1.

The JEE Mains 2024 exam will have three sections- physics, chemistry and mathematics. Candidates will have to attempt 25 questions from each section. The total marks of the JEE Main exam is 300 marks, 100 for each section. Based on the previous shift’s analysis, JEE Main January 27 shift 2 is expected to be moderately challenging.
Students had to report to the exam centre between 2 PM to 2:30 PM. Upon arrival, candidates were frisked and their biometric attendance was taken. Candidates were allowed to enter the JEE Main exam centre only if they carried their JEE Main admit card, a valid ID proof, a self-declaration form, and a passport-size photo. Candidates have to adhere to the JEE Main 2024 dress code specified by NTA:
Avoid carrying any metallic items, since they cause problems during frisking.
Students are not allowed to wear a cap/ muffler or any cloth over their heads.
Wear comfortable clothes to write the exam without any discomfort.
Wearing any kind of jewellery or ornaments is strictly prohibited.
Avoid any accessories such as goggles, rings, bracelets, etc.
Shoes with thick soles are not allowed.
Candidates were not allowed to carry any of these items inside the JEE Main exam centre-
Any electronic devices
Calculators, slide rules, log tables
Printed or written material
