Try NowNEW DELHI : The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 January 31 shift 1 exam at 9 AM. The JEE Main 2024 shift 1 January 31 exam will conclude at 12 noon. The reporting time for JEE Main 2024 shift 1 January session exam is 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. All candidates have to adhere to the JEE Main reporting time 2024.

Students with the JEE Main admit card, a valid ID proof, a self-declaration form, and a passport-size photo were allowed to enter the JEE Mains exam centre. Candidates had to undergo mandatory frisking to ensure fair conduct of the exam.
JEE Main 2024: Exam-day guidelines
The NTA-specified JEE Main guidelines that were required to be followed before appearing for JEE Main 2024 January 31 shift 1 were:
- Candidates were not allowed entry into the JEE Main 2024 exam centre after gate closing time. Similarly, candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre premises before the JEE Mains January 31 shift 1 exam concludes.
- Thorough checking and mandatory frisking were done at the JEE exam centres for fair conduct of the JEE Main exam.
- Students had to fill out the self-declaration form duly, paste their passport-sized photograph and put their left-hand thumb impression at the designated space provided in the JEE Main admit card.
Items Allowed Inside the JEE Mains Exam Hall
Candidates were able to carry the following items inside the JEE Mains 2024 exam centre:
- A transparent water bottle
- A ball-point pen
- Duly filled NTA JEE Main admit card
- Additional passport-size photograph
- Original valid ID proof
- Diabetic candidates were allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like bananas/apples/oranges) and transparent water bottles. However, they were not allowed to carry any packed food items such as chocolates/sandwiches etc into the exam hall.
