NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the JEE Main 2024 registration today, November 2. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE 2024) will be held between January 24 and February 1. Eligible candidates can fill the JEE Main 2024 application form at jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The deleted syllabus of JEE Mains 2024 as well as the information bulletin JEE Main 2024 are available on the official site while students can check the JEE Mains 2024 notification at nta.ac.in also. NTA will conduct session 2 exams between April 1 and 15, 2024.
JEE Main 2024 is being held for admission into the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) and institutions recognised by participating state governments. It is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced 2024, which is conducted for admission to IITs.
The exam comprises two papers – Paper 1 is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes while Paper 2 is conducted for admission to Bachelors in Architecture and Bachelor in Planning. The exam will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

JEE Main 2024 is being held for admission into the NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and institutions recognised by participating state governments.
Candidates have the option to apply for one or both sessions of JEE Main at once and pay the exam fee accordingly. If a candidates wants to take only session 1, then he/ she will pay the session 1 fee during this application window and have the opportunity to apply again in the application window of session 2.
JEE Main session 1 admit card will be issued to only those students who complete the registration within the given time. The admit card issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website - jeemain.nta.ac.in.
The JEE Main 2024 exam will be held in 13 languages; English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Students applying for JEE Mains 2024 have to pay Rs 1,000 as registration fees. However, female candidates will have to pay Rs 800 and applicants of SC and ST category will have to pay Rs 500 as registration fee.

JEE Main Session 1 Exam 2024 registration will end on November 30, 2023. Eligible candidates can register for JEE Main session 1 exam at jeemain.nta.ac.in.
JEE Main 2024 aspirant asked about pass status to be written in the application form as he is going to appear for improvement exams next year.

Yes, candidates have the choice to apply for both the sessions of JEE Main 2024 together by paying the examination fee accordingly. In case, a candidate is applying for only one session, they will have to pay the fee for only that session.

The application fee for JEE Mains foreign candidates has been decreased by Rs 500.

JEE Main Paper 2 will be divided in three parts. Part I will have 20 MCQs and 10 numerical questions, of which five are to be answered, relating to mathematics. Part II will be an aptitude rest while part three will have planning-based objective type MCQs.
The JEE Main 2023 Paper 1 will have two sections -- Section A will have 20 (MCQs) for each subject while Section B have 10 (numerical questions) for each subject out of which 5 must be attempted.

Candidates applying for the JEE Mains 2024 should have scored 75% marks or placed in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 of a recognised board. However, SC and ST candidates will be given 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.
