JEE Main 2025: NTA finds errors in images, starts application correction; photo requirements

According to the JEE Main 2025 marking scheme, candidates will receive four marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. No marks will be deducted for questions left unattempted.

NTA has opened the JEE Main 2025 photo correction window on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who registered for the JEE Main 2025 session 1 can edit their image in the application form by tomorrow, January 17, 2025.

The list of JEE Main 2025 exam centres is available on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The specific exam centre where a candidate's examination will be held will be mentioned on the JEE Main admit card.

As per the official notice by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 for BE and B Tech courses will be held in two shifts. The first shift will take place from 9 AM to 12 noon, while the second shift will be conducted from 3 PM to 6 PM.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced several changes in the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main 2025). 

• The JEE Main exam will not have optional questions in Section B for both paper 1 and paper 2. 
• There is no age limit for appearing in the exam. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 in 2023, 2024 or appearing in 2025 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE Main 2025.
• Age and JEE Main application number will not be considered for tie-breaking.
• Number of exam centres have been reduced to 284.
• The JEE Main official website has been changed to jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has introduced an additional counselling round for northeast student appearing in JEE Main 2025. The additional CSAB special counselling round will be conducted for those who do not secure seats in the initial JoSAA and CSAB rounds for NIT admissions.
