NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2025), the national-level engineering entrance exam, is expected to be held in two sessions - January and April. With just three months left for the JEE session 1 exams, here’s a 3-month study plan, detailed time table, and important topics in chemistry, physics, and mathematics.

JEE Main exam dates 2025 are yet to be announced, however, as per the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) said that the JEE Main session 1 exams will be held in the last week of January, while rescheduling the Class 12 board exam dates 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will officially announce the JEE Mains exam date 2025 along with the registration link on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in. The tentative schedule is announced in a NTA exam calendar, which is also expected to be out soon at nta.ac.in.
Last year, the JEE Main registration for session 1 exams began on November 1. Students can expect the JEE Main application form 2025 by next month, as per past trends.
JEE Main question paper 2025 will comprise two papers - paper 1 for admission into BE, BTech at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), other centrally-funded technical institutions (CFTIs) and universities funded by participating state universities, and paper 2 is held for BArch and BPlanning courses.
The exam is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced 2025, which is a gateway exam for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
IIT JEE Main question paper will cover about 45% and 55% of the syllabus of Classes 11 and 12. Therefore, here’s the subject-wise important topics to focus on while preparing for the exam.
