JEE Main 2025 Live: JEE session 2 registration today; updates on answer key, response sheet

Candidates require at least around 93 marks in the general category to clear the JEE Mains 2025 exam. NTA conducted the JEE Main exam for session 1 between January 22 to 30, 2025.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) 2025 exam pattern and scrapped the optional questions from section B of both the papers, paper 1 (BE, BTech) and paper 2 (BArch, BPlan). The detailed JEE Mains exam pattern 2025 for paper 1 is given below. 

While filling the JEE Main application form 2025, aspirants will be required to fill the option of language for question paper. As per the National Education Policy (NEP), the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 will be conducted in 13 different languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) will admit students to their BTech programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. More than 13.78 lakh candidates appeared for the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025, recording a 94.4 percent attendance, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA).

For JEE Main session 2 registration, candidates are advised to create a password that is 8 to 13 characters long. They are required to choose a security question and its answer, which will be used to retrieve the password in case required in future. The password should be created as per the following: 

• Should be 8 to 13 characters long.
• Should have at least one upper case alphabet.
• Should have at least one lower case alphabet.
• Should have at least one numeric value.
• Should have at least one special character eg.!@#$%^&*-.

Candidates are required to upload the photograph, signature, and other required documents in the format given below, as per the NTA guidelines.

• PwD/PwBD certificate.

The list of qualifying exams for JEE Main 2025 session 2 is given below.

• Class 12 board exam conducted by any recognized central or state educational board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) etc.
• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University exam (PUC) conducted by a recognized board or university.
• Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with a minimum of five subjects.
• Any public school, board, or university exam in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the Class 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
• A diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge, or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
• Candidates who have completed the Class 12 or equivalent exam outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
• Candidates should have passed at one public exam either Class 12 board exam or pre-university exam.
