What is non-Aadhaar declaration in JEE Main 2025? Explain mismatch between image, face

NEW DELHI: In a new update, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 candidates have been asked to fill a non-Aadhaar declaration form in order to appear for the exam. The declaration seeks information as to why an applicant’s image does not match with their face in the JEE Main 2025 application form submitted on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Those candidates who did not use Aadhaar Card details during the JEE Mains 2025 registration will have to submit the declaration to the NTA. Through the form, candidates will declare that their candidature for JEE Main 2025 session 1 is “genuine” and the online application form is valid.

According to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on JEE Main 2025, mentioning the Aadhaar number while filling the JEE Main application form 2025 was an optional field. However, NTA advised candidates to update their Aadhaar Card as a proof of identity with recent details for verification at the exam centre.

JEE Main 2025: Non-Aadhaar declaration

The candidates will be asked to select a reason for a mismatch between their image and face from the following:

• Blank image uploaded with application form
• Poor quality of image uploaded with application form
• Incorrect image uploaded with application form
• Others

Moreover, students will have to mention the following details in the declaration:

• Name of candidate
• Father’s name
• Mother’s name
• JEE Main application ID
• JEE Main roll number
• Government ID proof
• Government ID number
• Date
• Shift number

NTA officials will put the following remarks, in case a candidate is found suspicious:

• Candidate does not have an Aadhaar Card
• Candidate Aadhaar Card is not verified

Recently, NTA found errors in JEE Main 2025 photos uploaded by the applicants and asked them to rectify the images in the JEE Main 2025 application form. Candidates were allowed to upload the photographs as per specifications between January 16 and 17.
