NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the deadline to apply for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 session 1 is November 22, 2024, with no further extension. The IIT JEE Main 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions for admission to BE and BTech programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other participating institutions.
As per the JEE Main 2025 notification, Session 1 for Paper 1 is tentatively scheduled from January 22 to January 31, while Session 2 is likely to be held from April 1 to April 8.
Candidates who successfully apply for the JEE Main 2025 will have a chance to make corrections to their application form between November 26 and 27, 2024. During the JEE Main form correction, candidates can modify their personal details, educational details, exam city preferences and more.

In case of a tie between candidates obtaining the same Total NTA score, the tie will be resolved in the following order:

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility: Is 75% criteria removed?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet announced the JEE Main 2025 eligibility criteria. Last year, the exam agency reintroduced the 75% criteria, requiring students to score at least 75% marks in Class 12 to be eligible. A slight modification to this rule allowed students in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards to be eligible to apply for the engineering entrance exam. As per the guidelines, PwD and PwBD candidates will get an additional time of a minimum of one hour for the three-hour JEE Mains 2025 exam.
