NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will commence the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 session 1 tomorrow, January 22. The NTA JEE Mains 2025 will be conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30 for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programmes.

Candidates appearing for the engineering entrance exam can download the JEE Main admit card 2025 from the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. It is mandatory to carry the admit card of JEE Main 2025 along with a valid photo ID proof.
In the latest update, NTA has changed the JEE Main exam centre 2025 at Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The exam will be held in 15 cities outside India.
As per the revised JEE Main 2025 exam pattern, there will not be any optional questions in section B of both the papers. JEE Mains comprises two papers – paper 1 for BE and BTech programmes and paper 2 for BArch and BPlanning programmes. The JEE Main 2025 paper 1 will consist of 75 questions on physics, chemistry, and mathematics carrying a total of 300 marks.
JEE Main 2025 exam duration is three hours. The exam will be held in two sessions – shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm.

NTA has removed the optional questions from section B of the JEE Main 2025 exam. Instead of selecting any five questions out of 10, candidates will now have to attempt all five. Additionally, there will be no question choices in any subject for both paper 1 and paper 2 of JEE Main 2025.

NTA will commence the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 exam from tomorrow, January 22, 2025. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. Shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while shift 2 will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 will commence from tomorrow. The exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from January 22 to 30 in two shifts.
Candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category will find it tough to grab a BTech Computer Science and Engineering seat at a National Institute of Technology (NIT) which doesn't fall in their state. The highest JEE Main rank an EWS candidate needed in order to secure a BTech CSE seat in an NIT in the last three years has been recorded at 170 at NIT Tiruchirappalli for candidates outside Tamil Nadu.

NTA has not removed any topic from the JEE Main 2025 syllabus. However, certain topics that were dropped in the previous years will no longer be included in the JEE Main 2025 session 1 exams. Check JEE Main deleted syllabus 2025 below.
Mathematics: Mathematical Induction and mathematical reasoning units have been deleted.
Physics: In Physics, the communication device unit has been deleted from the JEE Main syllabus.
Chemistry: Surface chemistry, states of matter, general principles and processes of isolation of metals, s-block elements, hydrogen, environmental chemistry, alcohol phenol and ether, and polymers chapters have been removed.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has implemented security measures to tighten security during the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 session 1 starting tomorrow, January 22. As a part of the security measures, NTA has taken the following steps:

The JEE Main passing marks have been increasing for all categories over the previous years. The JEE Main cut-off for general category went up from 88.41 in 2022 to 90.78 in 2023 and further to 93.2362181 in 2024. Similarly, for reserved categories the JEE Main qualifying marks have shown an increasing cut-off trend. The JEE Main SC cut-off rose from 43.08 in 2022 to 51.98 in 2023 and then to 60.0923182 in 2024. Similarly, the JEE Main qualifying cut-off for ST category increased from 26.78 in 2022 to 37.23 in 2023 and 46.6975840 in 2024.
