JEE Main 2026 Answer Key LIVE: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to issue the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) session 2 answer key tomorrow, April 11. The answer key released will be provisional in nature; therefore, candidates will have the option of raising objections against it by paying Rs 200 per question. Following the pattern, the challenges made will be reviewed and will be reflected in the final answer key.

NTA JEE Main session 2 exam for 11.23 lakh candidates was conducted across 566 centres in 318 cities between April 2 and April 8. Overall the session 2 exam was rated 'easy to moderate' with students finding maths challenging.
For Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), around 11.06 lakh candidates registered in India and 4,229 abroad. The attendance was about 93%, with around 97% Aadhaar authentication.
For Paper 2 (B.Arch./B.Planning), about 54,953 candidates registered in India and 270 abroad. The attendance stood at nearly 73%, with around 97% Aadhaar authentication.
The online application process for Session 2 was held from February 1 to February 25, 2026. Following requests from candidates, the application window was reopened on March 12 and 13, 2026. Admit cards were released in phases on March 29 and April 1, 2026.
As notified in the official bulletin, the result will be released on April 20. After the release of the result, qualified candidates can participate in JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Those aiming to take admission at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) must appear for JEE Advanced. Candidates should check their ranks, cut-offs, and eligible colleges before filling in their choices and keep their documents ready for verification. They should stay updated with official notifications to avoid missing deadlines.

JEE Main April 2 shift 1 exam was rated 'easy to moderate' in difficulty level. The exam was conducted in a single shift between 9 am and 12 noon. Aspirants found the mathematics section challenging, and chemistry and physics section 'easy and manageable'.
