The JEE Main scorecard includes several important details about the candidate’s performance. It usually contains the candidate’s name, application number, category, subject-wise percentile scores, and overall NTA percentile. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all information mentioned on the scorecard.

Candidates who qualify in the top 2.5 lakh ranks in JEE Main will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination. This exam is the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and requires a deeper conceptual understanding of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Students securing around 99 percentile in JEE Main generally fall within the top 10,000 ranks nationally. Such scores often open the door to competitive branches like Computer Science, Electronics, and Electrical Engineering at several top NITs.

Admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs will be conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process. After the JEE Main and JEE Advanced results are declared, candidates will be able to register on the JoSAA portal and fill their preferred colleges and branches.

The All India Rank (AIR) in JEE Main is calculated after considering both sessions of the exam. If a student appears in both attempts, the best percentile score will be used for ranking. This ensures that candidates have a fair opportunity to improve their performance in the second session.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has closed the registration for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 on March 13 and is expected to release the advance city intimation slip soon on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The exam will be conducted from April 2 to April 9 in two shifts daily. Once released, candidates can download the city slip using their application number and login details.
