UPSC CMS 2026 exam on August 2; register by March 31

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started accepting applications for the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) 2026. Candidates can apply for UPSC CMS 2026 on the official website, upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in by March 31. The commission will conduct the CMS 2026 exam on August 2.

A total of 1358 vacancies are offered for the UPSC CMS 2026 recruitment exam. UPSC CMS 2026 exam will be held in 48 cities across the country.

Candidates must keep their photograph and signature (20-300 KB), photo ID proof, banking details, and educational qualification certificates ready for the UPSC CMS 2026 application form filling.

Male candidates belonging to the unreserved category have to pay Rs 200 as the applicable fee, while female and other candidates are exempt from paying registration fees.

UPSC CMS 2026: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for the UPSC CMS 2026 exam are shown in the table below.

As per the UPSC CMS 2026 exam pattern, candidates will have to appear for written exam for two papers, each comprising 250 marks for a duration of 2 hours. Candidates who qualify in the written exam will be eligible to appear for the personality test of 100 marks.
