JEE Advanced 2026: The closing rank for CSE at IIT Delhi stood at 126, the highest among courses, while the design programme closed at 23166, the lowest.

The top 2.5 rankers of the JEE Main 2026 will be allowed to write the JEE Advanced exam. IIT Roorkee will hold the JEE Advanced 2026 exam on May 17.
Notably, IIT Delhi's closing ranks for EE rose to 605 from 625, and BTech CSE cut-off rank fell from 126 to 116 under the open category.
IIT Delhi’s BTech CSE emerged as the most preferred course with 27,697 students, followed by Electrical Engineering with 23,503, as per the IIT Kanpur’s JIC report.
A total of 79 seats were offered for the 4-year BTech CSE programme, while 20 were reserved for female candidates. However, the least opted course was BTech design with only 3,173 candidates opting for it.
