The testing agency will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Mains) 2026 session 2 from April 2 to 9 in dual shifts. The testing agency is expected to issue the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 city intimation slip in the second week of March. Registered candidates will be able to download the city slip through the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Those preparing for the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 examination, and seeking admission to BTech, BArch and BPlanning courses can access the previous year question paper with solutions in pdf form through the NTA’s official portal at nta.ac.in.
JEE Mains previous years question papers
The JEE Mains previous year question papers and solutions will help candidates understand the difficulty level of each shift. They can analyse topic-wise weightage, and cross check answers using the official answer key.
As per experts, solving JEE Mains previous years question papers will help candidates preparing for upcoming exams and JEE Advanced. The JEE Mains 2026 session 2 question paper will comprise three sections - Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, totalling 90 questions.
JEE Mains 2026: Marking scheme, normalisation
The computer-based test will be held for a duration of three hours. Candidates will be awarded four marks for each correct answer, whereas one mark will be deducted for each wrong response, as per the marking scheme.
The testing agency is expected to release the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 city slip soon for registered candidates. The login credentials to access the city slip includes application number and password.
The JEE Mains 2026 admit card will be issued tentatively between March 28 and 30. The college entrance test is conducted twice each year to provide candidates with flexibility and opportunities to improve their scores.
To provide a fair chance to each candidate, NTA uses a normalisation method to calculate scores as students appear in different shifts with varying difficulty levels.
