Placed at 65 in the engineering category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework ( NIRF ) 2025, the NIT in the national capital offers selective programmes and the lowest Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) closing rank at which a candidate could enter the brand is 59371 for home-state quota in BTech civil engineering.
BTech Artificial Intelligence-Data Science (AI-DS) remains the most sought-after course after BTech CSE, with a sharp increase in cut-offs. The newest course – VLSI Design and Technology – also recorded a jump in competitiveness in the last three years. The core branches including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering have not been able to beat the demand of trending or industry-aligned courses.
