The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held from January 21 to 30, while the session 2 dates have been revised and will now be conducted from April 2 to 9.
The ongoing JEE Main 2026 registration requires candidates to fill out the online form, upload documents in the specified format, and pay the application fee through the authorised digital payment options. Paper 1 will be held for BTech, while Paper 2A and 2B will be conducted for BArch and BPlanning.
The testing agency recently clarified that the reference to an onscreen standard calculator in the information bulletin was a “typographic error”. NTA confirmed that calculators will not be available in any form during the computer-based test and added that the calculator feature appearing on the generic test platform does not apply to JEE Main 2026.
In another development, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed affiliated schools to immediately provide Class 11 registration numbers to students applying for JEE Main 2026. The board states that registration number is compulsory in the form and is being used to prevent clashes with the CBSE Class 12 board exam schedule from February 17 to April 9.
This year, the number of exam cities has increased from 284 to 323. The JEE Main 2026 syllabus has also been published on the official website. As per the published schedule, the result for session 1 is expected on February 12, and the result for session 2 is expected on April 20.
