Try NowNEW DELHI: Only those candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination in the last two years or are appearing for board exams 2025 are eligible for admissions through the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued the JEE Main 2025 session 2 answer key today on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main answer key 2025 (out) live updates.

As per the required JEE Main eligibility marks in 12th, aspirants are required to score at least 75% marks in physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST), a minimum of 65% marks are required.
In 2023, the testing agency revised the JEE Main 75% eligibility criteria and allowed students with 75% score or those in top 20 percentile in board exams to appear for the national entrance exam.
JEE Main eligibility criteria 2025
As per NTA JEE Main 2025 information bulletin, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for exam:
- Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
- There is no age limit.
- Candidates who passed Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2022 or before are not eligible.
For admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs
- For admission in the NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE Main ranks in paper 1, students should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination or be in the top 20 percentile in Class 12 exam conducted by respective boards.
- For SC, ST candidates, the qualifying marks are 65% in the Class 12 exam.
- Candidate is also required to pass in each of the subjects of Class 12 or qualifying examination
- For BPlanning, the candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination.
JEE Mains result 2025 will be declared by April 17. NTA conducted JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams from April 2 to 9. The top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025.
