JEE Main Result 2021: 20 candidates debarred for three years for cheating

NEW DELHI: The much-awaited JEE Main 2021 result was declared today by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can check their JEE Main results 2021 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. However, the NTA in the official notice informed that a total of 20 candidates have been debarred for three years from appearing in Joint Entrance Examination Main 2021 for cheating.

“On account of using unfair means, a total of 20 candidates have been debarred from appearing in future examinations for a period of three years. Their results have also been withheld,” the official notice said.
The Central Board of Investigation (CBI) had arrested seven accused in a case related to alleged irregularities in the JEE Main 2021 session 4 conducted on September 2.
The CBI conducted raids at 20 locations in Delhi, NCR, Pune, Indore. Candidates paid Rs 15 lakhs in exchange for someone else to take their JEE Main 2021 exam. The private educational institution was facilitating a scam by solving the candidates’ question paper through remote access from a test centre in Sonipat, Haryana, as per reports.
A total of 44 candidates have scored 100 percentile in the engineering entrance exam JEE Main 2021 while 18 candidates have shared the top rank, Ministry of Education (MoE) officials said on Tuesday midnight.
The NTA notice further said that “the ranks of the candidates have been decided to take into consideration the best of NTA Scores of all candidates who appeared in more than one session of the JEE Main 2021 exam.”
The candidate’s particulars including Category and Person with Disability (PwD) have been taken by NTA as mentioned by the candidate in the online application form, it added.
The authority also informed that NTA Score for Paper-2A (B.Arch.) and Paper-2B (B. Planning) will be declared later on.
