NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) result 2025. JEE Main session 2 result 2025 link is out on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will have to use their application number and password to check JEE Main April attempt result 2025.
Earlier today, NTA issued the fresh JEE Main final answer key 2025 and dropped 2 questions. From the previously released and then withdrawn final answer key, the testing agency dropped two physics questions.
NTA was under fire for allegedly making errors in the JEE Main 2025 session 2 answer key and even JEE Main response sheet 2025. Aspirants complained about nine errors in the provisional answer key and wrong display of answers and blank response sheets. The testing agency clarified that the JEE Main session 2 answer key was just provisional and JEE Main session 2 result 2025 were based on the final key only.
For JEE Main April session result 2025, NTA used the normalisation method and the revised JEE Main 2025 tie-breaking criteria.
JEE Main 2025 session 2 was conducted from April 2 to 9 and JEE Main 2025 session 1 was held from January 22 to 30.
Qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling 2025 for admissions to the undergraduate engineering programmes in the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government-Funded Technical Institutions (GFTIs). Top 2.5 lakh candidates will be allowed to take JEE Advanced 2025 for IIT admissions.

Students who did not achieve a high rank in JEE Mains 2025 can consider alternative options. The International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Hyderabad will admit students to its BTech programmes through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025. The institute offers two BTech courses in computer science and electronics and communication engineering.

Toiyeb Ashiq secured the All India Rank (AIR) 152 in the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main) 2025. This is the highest rank ever achieved by any student from Kashmir, according to the coaching centre, RISE Kashmir, from where the student studied. Toiyeb is also the state topper of Jammu and Kashmir, his name is listed on the state-wise JEE Main 2025 toppers list. He also scored a perfect 100 out of 100 in mathematics, the coaching centre claimed.
Salman Shahid, co-founder of RISE, and a graduate from IIT Kharagpur said, “Toiyeb’s achievement is not just a rank — it is a message to every student in Kashmir that with hard work, the right guidance, and belief in yourself, nothing is impossible. He represents the future we believe in: brilliant, hardworking Kashmiri youth reaching the highest levels of academic success. This is a historic moment not just for RISE, but for the entire Valley.”

The National Testing Agency calculates the JEE Main 2025 percentile for individual subjects separately (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) as well as in the combined format using the normalization formula as given below.

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has announced to hold a special round counselling for students of north-east who do not secure a seat through the initial JoSAA, CSAB counselling rounds for admissions to NITs.

Vangala Ajay Reddy from Telangana has emerged as the topper in the General-EWS category for JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.). He achieved a perfect NTA score of 100.
