The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates who will be appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination - Main (JEE Main 2026) session 1 exams from tomorrow. The testing agency reminded candidates to download their JEE Mains 2026 admit cards and be braced for the college entrance test.
The testing agency will publish the admit cards for the January 28 and 29 exams shortly. The JEE Main hall ticket 2026 for the January 21 to 24 exams has been issued on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Candidates can download the NTA JEE Main 2025 admit card by using their valid JEE Main application number and password. As per the schedule, the JEE Main 2026 first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 pm, while the second shift will take place from 3 pm to 6 pm.
While downloading the JEE Main 2026 admit card, candidates must make sure the QR code and barcode are visible clearly while downloading. Candidates will have to bring their photo ID and online application form in the admit card for verification purposes.
Recently, the testing agency has rescheduled the JEE Main session 1 exam 2026 in West Bengal due to Saraswati Puja. NTA will soon assign new exam dates for the West Bengal candidates. This year, the JEE Main exam cities 2026 have been increased from 284 to 323.
JEE Main 2026 paper will comprise 300 marks, with a marking scheme of +4 for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect response, and zero for unattempted questions.

Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026 should not to carry certain items inside the exam hall. Only the admit card, a valid photo identity, and the stationery specified by the NTA are allowed. All other electronic devices, personal belongings, and restricted materials must be left outside.

JEE Main has three papers. Paper 1 for BE, BTech is of 300 marks, with 4 marks for each correct answer and minus 1 for each wrong answer. Paper 2A for BArch and Paper 2B for BPlan are of 400 marks each, with the same marking scheme, except the Drawing section in B.Arch, which carries 100 marks.

NIT Tiruchirappalli has had the highest BTech CSE cut-offs among NITs over the past three years, closing at rank 1,449 in 2025, 1,224 in 2024, and 1,509 in 2023. NIT Surathkal and NIT Warangal follow as the next most competitive, closing at 1,827 and 2,409, respectively, in 2025.

Based on the issuance of admit cards for the exam to be held on January 21, it is expected that the NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 admit cards for the exams to be held on January 28 and 29, four days before the exam, i.e., on January 24.
