The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025 admit card for April 4, 7, 8 and 9 exams on its official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

As per the subject experts, Mathematics was moderate to difficult, with well-distributed questions across various topics. Matrices, 3D Geometry, Vectors, and Conic Sections had a strong presence, while Calculus had fewer questions. Some problems were lengthy and time-consuming, making time management crucial.

As per the subject experts, the difficulty level ranking for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 April 3 shift 2 exam was:

• Chemistry > Mathematics > Physics

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has not announced the result dates for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 yet. However, as per the previous years trends, the testing agency will declare the JEE Main 2025 April session results in May.

The NTA conducted the JEE Mains paper today, April 3 in two shifts. As per the subject experts, the Chemistry section was rated moderate to difficult, mainly due to a high number of statement-based and unconventional questions. Almost all chapters were included, but Inorganic Chemistry had the highest weightage, while Physical Chemistry was moderately covered, and Organic Chemistry had the least representation. Although most theoretical questions were directly from NCERT, recalling data proved challenging. Physical Chemistry was relatively standard, with fewer numerical questions.

The distribution covered major topics like Mechanics, Modern Physics, Electrostatics, Optics, and Units & Measurements. However, AC and Magnetism had fewer questions, while Rotation and EMI were absent. Although a few questions were time-consuming, the majority were straightforward, making this section a scoring opportunity for students.

The JEE Main paper for April 3 shift 2 was rated moderate in overall difficulty. Among the three sections, Physics was the easiest, Mathematics was moderate, and Chemistry ranged from moderate to difficult, primarily due to statement-based questions. While the question distribution was generally balanced, some topics received more focus, while others were absent, as per Ajay Sharma, National Academic Director, Engineering,Aakash Educational Services Limited.

The overall difficulty level of the Mathematics section was easy. The Mathematics section was relatively easier as compared to the Chemistry and Physics section. Overall 3rd April Shift 2 Mathematics paper was of a similar difficulty level as of 3rd April Shift 1 paper and 2nd April’s shifts. The mathematics section was easy as compared to the JEE Main 2025 January Session. The mathematics section was easy as compared to the JEE Main 2024. Overall, the mathematics section was lengthy but doable.

As per the reaction of the students, the overall difficulty level of the Physics section was "easy to moderate”. The Physics section was relatively "easy" compared to Mathematics and harder than Chemistry. The 3rd April evening shift Physics paper was tough compared to the 3rd April morning shift. The 3rd April evening shift Physics paper was easy compared to Session 1, 2025. Assertion and reason types questions asked. The physics paper was easy in terms of math and difficult in terms of chemistry.

As per the subject experts, the JEE Main 2025 3rd April session, evening shift paper was moderate compared to the January 2025 session. The overall paper level was moderate compared to the morning shift. It was moderate with respect to the last year. Subject-wise difficulty (from highest to lowest):

• Chemistry>physics>mathematics

The JEE Main 2025 session 2 shift 2 for day 2 was held from 3 to 6 pm. The shift 2 of the day 3 question paper comprised of three sections; physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Each subject consisted of a total of 25 questions, divided into two sections. Section A will have 20 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), and Section B will contain 5 compulsory questions whose answers must be filled in as a numerical value. There will be negative markings for Section A (MCQs) but not for Section B (Numerical Value Questions). Answers in Section B should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

As per subject-wise difficulty level in today's JEE Main paper 2025 held in the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm, the chemistry section was the toughest followed by physics, and mathematics.

150 marks in JEE Mains 2025 can be considered good score as per the last year's JEE Main cut-off. As per experts, the JEE Main percentile for 150 marks will be equal to or above 98. The NITs and IIITs will admit students to their BTech courses on this JEE Mains percentile. 

JEE Main cut-offs went up for BTech Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad and IIIT Tiruchirappalli last year. The IIITs will also offer admission to their four-year undergraduate engineering programmes through JEE Main 2025.

IIT Kanpur has announced the JEE advanced 2025 exam date. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18. 

JEE Main session 2 shift 1 answer key will be available after the exam concludes at 12 pm. Coaching centers and subject experts will release the unofficial JEE Main April 3 shift 1 answer key on the websites and YouTube channels.

NTA has not announced the JEE Main admit card 2025 release date for the remaining exam dates of the April session exam. "Admit Cards for the candidates whose exams are scheduled on 07, 08 and 09 April 2025 will be released in due course," the official notice said.

Candidates scoring 120 in JEE Main 2025 Session 2 can expect a percentile between 96 and 97.4.
