NEW DELHI: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 April 8 exam was moderate in difficulty level. As per students' reactions, mathematics was relatively easier compared to the January session, but remained lengthy. Chemistry was the toughest and most time-consuming section with lower weightage to inorganic chemistry. Physics was the easiest of the three. JEE Main 2025: Maths section analysis

According to Careers360’s subject experts, the overall difficulty level of the mathematics section in the April 8 Shift 2 exam was easy. It was comparatively easier than the papers held on April 2, 3, 4 and 7. The JEE Main 2025 maths section was also easier than the JEE Main 2025 January session and matched the difficulty level of JEE Main 2024. JEE Main 2025: Physics section analysis

The physics section of the JEE Main 2025 April 8 exam was easy to moderate. Most questions were formula-based, similar to the April 7 evening shift. Questions were asked from the following topics:

  • 2 questions from modern physics
  • 2 questions from ray optics
  • 2 questions from rotational motion
  • 1 question from semiconductor
  • 1 question from electrostatics

JEE Main 2025: Chemistry section analysis

The chemistry section of the JEE Main 2025 April 8 Shift 2 exam was moderate to hard and slightly lengthy. It was tougher than maths and physics, and moderately difficult compared to the January session. The weightage of physical and organic chemistry was nearly equal, with the physical part being more calculative.

  • 2 questions from coordination compounds
  • 1 question from aldol condensation
  • 1 question from chemical equilibrium
  • 1 question from biomolecules

JEE Main 2025 session 2 next and final exam will be conducted tomorrow, April 9. The exam will be conducted from from 9 am to 12 noon. The JEE Main 2025 will be conducted for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) – Paper 2A – and Bachelor of Planning (BPlanning) – Paper 2B. Engineering aspirants appearing for both Paper 2A and Paper 2B will get an additional 30 minutes to complete their exam.
