NTA conducted JEE Mains 2026 session 2 BE and BTech entrance exams from April 2 to 8, and BArch and BPlanning papers were held on April 7 at 567 examination centres across 306 cities nationwide and 14 cities abroad.
For JEE Mains session 2 BE, and BTech exam , nearly 11.06 lakh candidates registered in India and more than 4,000 appeared internationally, marking the overall pass percentage of about 73%.
NTA published the JEE Mains 2026 provisional answer keys and response sheet on April 11. The results will be based on the JEE Mains 2026 final answer key.

What after JEE Mains 2026 results?
After the NTA announces the JEE Mains 2026 session 2 results 2026, only the top 2.5 lakh JEE qualifiers in both January and April sessions will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2026. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will conduct the JEE Advanced 2026 exam on May 17 in two shifts for paper 1 and 2.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling sessions for BTech admissions across IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs based on the All India Ranks (AIR).
