JEE Main 2027 Live: Registration begins at jeemain.nta.nic.in; eligibility, fee, dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027 Session 1. Candidates can fill out the application form online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2027 registration last date for Session 1 is November 22, 2026, up to 11:50 pm.

The Session 1 JEE Main 2027 exam will be conducted on January 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28, 2027. The examination is held for admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes.

The NTA has introduced the MeriPehchaan National Single Sign-On platform for JEE Main 2027 registration. Candidates can use the MeriPehchaan National Single Sign-On (NSSO) platform to access the JEE Main 2027 registration portal through a single set of login credentials. 

The platform integrates services such as JanParichay, e-Pramaan and DigiLocker to simplify online authentication. Candidates should follow the instructions on the official NTA website to complete the registration and identity verification process.

JEE Main 2027 session 1 eligibility criteria

There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2027. Candidates who passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination in 2025 or 2026, or are appearing in 2027, are eligible to apply.

The qualifying examinations include Class 12 examinations conducted by recognised central or state boards, equivalent examinations recognised by the Association of Indian Universities, and other qualifying examinations listed in the information bulletin.

How to apply for JEE Main 2027 Session 1

Candidates can complete the JEE Main 2027 application process by following these steps:

• Visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Open the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application link.
• Register through the available MeriPehchaan facility and note the application number.
• Log in and fill out the application form with personal and academic details.
• Select the examination paper and preferred examination cities.
• Upload the live photograph, scanned photograph, signature and other applicable documents.
• Pay the prescribed examination fee online.
• Download and save the confirmation page after successful payment.

The application fee for JEE Main 2027 depends on the candidate's category, gender, examination centre location and selected papers. The following fee applies to candidates selecting one paper.

Documents required for JEE Mains 2027 registration

Candidates should keep the following documents while filling the JEE Main 2027 registration form:

• Live photograph captured during the application process.
• Recent scanned passport-size photograph.
• Scanned signature.
• Class 10 or equivalent certificate or marksheet.
• Disability or UDID certificate, wherever applicable.
• Certificate regarding physical limitation to write, if applicable.
• Non-Indian passport for foreign nationals, including OCI candidates, where applicable.
