NEW DELHI: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Ranchi (JCECE) has begun the registration process for the Combined Entrance Test (CET) for agriculture and other allied courses 2024 today, March 1. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their JCET 2024 applications through the official website, jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
As per the official notice, the Jharkhand CET exam 2024 is scheduled to take place on April 28 at the Ranchi and Dumka headquarters.
The Jharkhand CET entrance exam is conducted for admission to various courses, including Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH), Bachelor of Science (BSc) in agriculture, BSc forestry, Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Dairy Technology, Bachelor of Fisheries Science (BFSc), BTech in agriculture engineering, and BSc horticulture.
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria for the JCET 2024 exam before applying for it.
Age limit: Candidates age should be between 17 years old to 25 years old as on or before December 31, 2024.
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 examinations with a minimum of 50% marks in science subjects are eligible to apply for the bachelor of veterinary science and animal hysbandry course.

Candidates falling under the general, economically weaker section (EWS), other backward class (OBC) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 900 for the physics, chemistry, mathematics (PCM) and physics, chemistry, biology (PCB) groups.
For the physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology (PCMB) group, the fee is Rs 1,000. Scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and female candidates need to pay Rs 450 for PCM, PCB groups, and Rs 500 for the PCMB group as Jharkhand CET application fees. The persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) category candidates are exempted from paying any application fees.
